I was watching T.V today and switched over during the ads there was a football match on and the pitch was full of police and reporters, so I though I would watch to see what had happened. The game was between the 2nd (Grêmio) and 3rd (Náutico) place teams in Séria B (second division) Grêmio needed to win to be champions and Náutico needed to win to move into 2nd place and gain promotion. The ref gave a very dodgy penalty to Náutico, needless to say the players from Grêmio weren't happy and protested and wouldn't let the penalty be taken, in then end after 25 minutes of confusion they had four players sent off. So the game begins again with the penalty which the Grêmio goalkeeper saves and two minutes later they score and manage to hold on until the final whistle. The comentator had been saying that Grêmio should try and get more players sent off so the game wouldn´t be able to continue as they wouldn´t be able to stop Náutico from winning with only 7 players and then after the goal he said how great it was that they stayed and played on.
